Pengetahuan Dasar Alat Teknik Mesin untuk Siswa SMK Negeri 1 Gedong Tataan

Abstract

This community service project at SMK N 1 Gedong TataanPardamean focused on educating participants about the use and maintenance of basic technical tools to address the local community's limited understanding. Through training and mentoring, teachers and students were introduced to the correct usage and safety procedures for various technical tools. The activities included hands-on demonstrations of tools such as drilling machines, grinders, and welding equipment, commonly used in schools, homes, and workshops.

The two-day socialization event aimed to impart basic knowledge and safety techniques for using simple technical tools. Several teachers and students participated in the training, which sought to enhance their skills and understanding, thus reducing the risk of workplace accidents.

Technical tools like drilling machines, grinders, and welding equipment are essential in daily life. Drilling machines, whether handheld or stationary, are used for drilling metal, while grinders cut and smooth surfaces. Welding machines, both electric and acetylene, join and cut metals. Each tool has unique characteristics and usage techniques, requiring proper understanding and maintenance to ensure safety and effectiveness.

This initiative hopes to enable participants to apply the knowledge gained in their daily lives, at school, home, and workshops, thereby increasing productivity and workplace safety. The education and mentoring also aim to foster awareness of the importance of using technical equipment according to correct standard operating procedures (SOP).
